Over the past few years, LinkedIn has become one of the most popular recruiting and hiring tools for companies. Many job seekers use the social networking site to advance their career. According to a recent research, 10 million active jobs were live on LinkedIn as of July 2017. Another survey reveals that 77% of the all the vacancies are filled through LinkedIn. It clearly indicates the potential of LinkedIn when it comes to the world of employment.

If you are looking for a job, make the proper use of LinkedIn features to get the most out of it.

Here are some of the best ways to use  Linkedin to find a dream job:

The “to-do” thing: Complete your Profile

Your profile is the first thing that recruiters notice about you. LinkedIn profile works as your online resume. Create an accurate profile and make sure you don’t miss out filling any section.  Upload a Professional photo. Write an eye-catching headline since it is the first line which is visible to anyone. Make your profile privacy settings public; it makes you appear in searches more frequently. Do learn and apply relevant techniques to make sure that your profiles come on top for relevant LinkedIn searches. Furthermore, keep updating your profile at regular intervals, so that the recruiters know about your skills/accomplishments. If you are a fresher, highlight your internship/training experience for better opportunities

Make Connections, Join Groups

Use ‘People you may know’ feature. It gives you suggestions about the people you may know, if you get to know someone here, suggest them to join you and start a conversation! You may ask them to put you in touch with the right people at their company. Join groups or communities that are of professional interest to you so that you can begin to connect with people in similar fields. Linkedin is a networking platform. More the connection, better chances of finding jobs

Follow Your Target companies/Industries

There are over five million Company Pages on LinkedIn, so follow the ones where you dream of working in future. You will also get notifications when people join or leave the company, and you’ll  get to know when that company posts jobs.
